Hi(Ref Author of javaFX)

Can you quickly tell me if i can use javaFX to include pictures (in slides) to archive the same so that the size (56 megabites) is reduced to minimum just like you shorten in jar.
Otherwiise what does the new book differ offer me from helping me from that of regular java.jar etc

Needles to say if otherwise
Thanks

I don't understand the question. Are you asking whether JavaFX has the ability to compress files?

Hi
I don't understand your question. Can you try to describe your problem in a different way?

Hi

Thanks a lot But my question remains same.I will be delighted if you could explain if a higher resolution frame can be altered synchronisingly(instantly) inorder to reduce the size as for example if i have to create a jar file out of a long file ( for standalone application with a file of 56 mega bites) This is not possible in swing web application.It will help me to port via online if the enormouse size being the constraint is reduced suitably for porting.After all "Java is write once and run any where ".
Does your book adheres to this age old slogan

Sorry, but for me it's not clear what you mean. The resolution of an application doesn't affect the size of a jar file.

Hi
It is true that altering the resolution of frame size does affect the performance of avi use for example & not the size .But unfortunately there is neither method nor anything of such that hepls in the size reduction(as stated in my problem where i can get instantly a reduced size atleast during jar creation or not by javaFX)and obviously this javaFX is nothing to do do with JMF library (i hope)or else please correct me if this is untrue.
Lastly if nothing is still possible.
let me say

Sorry, but your posts aren't making any sense. JavaFX has nothing to do with "reducing jar size". Moreover, I have no idea why you titled this topic as "swing vs JavaFX" and then went on to ask something about reducing some jar size.

I think the OP is asking if image can be compressed using Java FX. Suppose the image is of huge size, can be displayed as a smaller image therby needing lesser memory.

This can be done. Like Swing javaFX supports image operations.
