How to access a Tooltip on a Node without a getTooltip() method

So I have quite a few ImageView each with their own Tooltip, and I would like to be able to access the Tooltip from the ImageView.

Just briefly:

HBox holder = new HBox();
Image myImage = new Image(file);
for (int i = 0; i < 30; i++) {
   ImageView iv = new ImageView(myImage);
   Tooltip.install(iv, new Tooltip("" + (i + 01));
   holder.getChildren().add(iv);
}

Later on I call a method and send it 'holder'

for((ImageView) Node child : holder.getChildren()) {
   // get tooltip from child
   // send child to different places depending on the tooltip
}

Store the tooltip reference in the user properties for the node under a pre-defined key, then later retrieve it when you need it, using the same key.

private static final String TOOLTIP = "tooltip";
...
// store tooltip for the node.  
ImageView iv = new ImageView(myImage);  
Tooltip tooltip = new Tooltip("My Tooltip");
iv.getProperties().put(TOOLTIP, tooltip);
Tooltip.install(iv, tooltip);  
....

// get tooltip from the node.  
Tooltip tooltip = (Tooltip) iv.getProperties().get(TOOLTIP);
