First, this is my opinion only, and frankly, I know that there will be many who will disagree with me.

Question. Are you doing this because you want to do this? Or are you doing this because that is your only option? If the first, then sure, why not? It can't hurt to understand how to do better testing. On the other hand, if it is the later, then you should think hard on it. The temperament needed between a tester and a developer are very different. Someone who is very good at development, may do very poorly at testing, and that doesn't work well at getting you recognized to be promoted out of "interim" positions.

Are they asking others to transition to testing or just you? If multiple people, I wouldn't worry - they probably just need more testers in the short term. If just you, I'm not sure what to think. It could be that they just need one person. Or it could be they have some concerns about you. Or it could be less temporary than it sounds (as Henry noted.) It could be that they are trying to automated testing and want to "borrow" a developer to get started with that.

I do think that being a tester builds important skills that help you as a developer. It's just hard to advise because we don't have enough context. You might not have that context either so you might want to talk to your manager.

Hi guys,
thank you for your answers.
I asked my Technical-Manager and He suggest me this position for next realease, only two months, because the Manager tester have difficults to do tests and this is an important client and they can't make mistake.
I am thinking if it is an experience that allow me to grow anyway.

Thanks

This is good for your manager to say. It implies that they trust you to do a good job and aren't trying to "offload" you to some other team.
