Marwen Trabelsi wrote:By the way, since I'm new to the ranch could I ask where to have all those "how-to" pages referrenced?
I can only come across one when reading some posts but don't know how to browse for them.

This is a great question from Marwen a couple of days ago at the end of this thread. Even as staff I don't really know how to browse these pages, my method of finding stuff is to try and remember where I saw a particular page link. It's all very non scientific.

Even from the FrontPage that Knute mentioned in that thread it only gets you so far.

Is there any kind of structure or organisation to the pages to make searching and browsing easier?

I go there by Front Page and then I click Java-FAQ. Hovewer, I am not sure if all useful articles are there.

That's a good question. If you really have no idea what you might be looking for, start with the "Content categories" link and see if any of the categories look interesting. The categories are admittedly somewhat uneven (organically grown over time), the ones with the most content are FAQ and Certification. Those pages themselves don't tell you a whole lot, but if you click on their title you'll get a list of all pages in that category. (As a shortcut for the two categories mentioned, you can use the "List of FAQ pages" and "List of Certification pages" links that go to those pages directly.)

If you're looking for something specific, there's also a search box, but I'm sure you've noticed that :-)

Thanks again Tim for reporting my question.
Personally since I landed on the first page of the how-to section, I found that it is hard to go back and remember the road to this or that page so had to bookmark all the ones I need to refer back someday so I can save the pain even for others when I can catch that one is wondering about. Meanwhile, even being hard to browse I absolutely enjoy and gather too much from every page I land in.
