Hi ,
I have the following file :

Even this layout is attach to the FileAppender . It is not making new XML file after the capacity gone above the MaxFileSize.

Can any have idea to roll over the new file

Welcome to JavaRanch.

FileAppender does not support rolling over. Use a RollingFileAppender instead.
Consider Paul's rocket mass heater.
