Hi K/B,

Congratulations on your book.

Would you know when the paperback version will be coming out? Also, now that this book has been released, will you be working on a similar book for OCAJP8/OCPJP8? I believe your cert books (especially the SCJP6 study guide) is not just used for preparing for certification but also as a reference by those who already passed. So even though this study guide just came out, I'm already looking forward to the one for 8.

Hi Anton,

I don't think MH plans to offer a paperback version in the US - but probably other printers will do paperback versions in other countries.

As for Java 8... well Oracle is still in the early stages of the OCP 8 exam development, we're helping and we're watching...

Spot false dilemmas now, ask me how!
(If you're not on the edge, you're taking up too much room.)

Is K&B7 book a good option for Upgrade to Java SE 7 Programmer (1Z0-805) exam too?

Yes. There's an extra table that points you to the relevant areas to study (which winds up being over a third of the book.)
