Open source Blog framework

Is there any open source framework available for creating and hosting our own blog site. I know of MediaWiki which is a Wiki kind of site...Is there anything similar available for blogging.

And if its in Java then it would be great. I liked mediaWiki but its using PHP where I am not confortable. So a java based Wiki implementation would also be a great for me. Let me know your thoughts and suggestions.

Any pointers or help is apprecited.

Hi Priyanka,

have a look at Pebble! It'simple and easy to install and it's Java. If this is enough for you it'll be a good choice.

+1 on Pebble. It's what we use to run the blogs on the JavaRanch Radio, and it's being developed by one of our moderators, Simon Brown.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
