jsf richfaces pagination not working

Hi,
I am using jsf rich faces to dispay the page. Pagination is not working in the same page.Problem here is i am able to see the first page only for the pagination functionality.

Below is the part of the code from xhtml.

What is the scope of your backing bean? If it's Request scope, then the bean gets destroyed and recreated from scratch on each page refresh, losing the previous pagination context. Request scope is almost totally useless in JSF.

You have defined your dataScroller within the footer of the table. That's not how the example showed it and it's not how I've been doing it.

All the cases I'm familiar with have the dataScroller as an element external to the dataTable and referencing the dataTable via the "for=" attribute.
