Hello John,

I have been developing for years and the last 10 or so have been working remotely. I often found it difficult to navigate the day to day processes with software managers, project managers and other developers when not in the same location. Does your book offer strategies for successfully communicating and collaborating with teams in multiple locations? Are there better ways to self-promote your work to get the better projects?

thanks,

Rob

We have very few people with 11 years between their registration date and their “welcome” message. I am not sure whether that is a record.

My book does address working remotely, but mostly from the perspective of the developer working remotely and dealing with some of the difficulties of being remote.
I talk about some of the common problems remote workers face like: loneliness, lack of motivation, and difficulty with communication.
I give some strategies on how to conquer some of those problems and be as successful as possible working remotely--which can be more difficult than most people imagine.
