Hello ranchers
Glad to have passed the JEA5 part 1 MC exam today with 89%. Thought higher at first when I hit submit.
Anyway resources I used:
Sheil's JEA study guide
The GOF design
patterns and core
J2EE patterns books
Material I used for WCD5, BCD5 and WSD5
Given I had achieved the
Java EE 5 developer certs before, the web, business, and EIS tier topics were really a review. During my 1.5 month prep, I really studied patterns in depth, making some notes along the way which I can share later.
All in all there were no trick questions, reading them carefully and a bit of common sense (logical thinking)/ experience exposure will get you the answer.
Things to take note at least for me anyway:
JMS = more in depth than knowing queue is point-to-point and topic is publish/subscribe
know some examples of symmetric and asymmetric encryption algorithms
Java connection architecture
RMI security manager
Now on to UML (with tool familiarization) and part2/3
