Awhile back I was asked if I knew what the acronym "BEA" stood for (which I didn't). So I did some research and this is what I came up with: After purchasing Tengah, the 3 founders wanted to take the company public, and submitted the name "BEA" for their initials. William T. "Bill" Coleman, Founder, CEO Edward W. "Ed" Scott, Jr., Founder Alfred S. "Al" Chuang, Founder, COO Bill, Ed, and Al's Systems. If anyone can substaniate this, I would appreciate it!
Consider it substantiated... I've heard Bill describe it thusly firsthand. BTW he's a freakin' genius, one of those folk able to access a whole different plane; I work for BEA, and he's part of the reason why.
