I'm trying out making a simple web service using Jersey. To make things easier, I decided to follow this tutorial from the official Oracle page.

However, at the last stage I hit a wall. When I enter the command: mvn tomcat:run I do see that the Coyote web server is running but sending a request to the URL returns an error message. What am I missing here?
