Hi,
Im very happy Ive just passed the WL 6.0 certification exam. Id like to tanks Joe Mcguire about his guide on it and also Caroline Jen who also keep me motivate for the SCWCD and WL certifications, thanks a lot Caroline.
Well about the test Id suggest you to take the SCWCD exam before because theres lots of questions on Servlet JSP and I dont think you wanna miss that questions, questions also on cluster, transactions, ejb, well you can find the list requirements at:
http://education.bea.com/education/certification_test_objectives.jsp
tanks a lot to all members and of this great forum and for everyone that makes the Java Ranch forums the best ones in internet.
regards.

I have been waiting for this great news for several days. I knew that you could do it. A million CONGRATULATIONS!!! It takes a lot of discipline to study for certification exams while having a full time job. I am happy that you studious effort bears fruits. Well, let's relax for several days and think about the next step after WLS 6.0.

Hi,
At least for me no questions on QL language or JSP Tags, but I had questions on security, transactions and cluster, you should also understand MBeans, the administration console, connection pools, etc... and know really well about JSP, Servlets and EJBs.

Hey Marcos, that's super! Congratulations! I'm really glad to hear that my resources have helped you in some way.
Rashid - So far, neither I nor anyone else who has taken the exam has reported having any questions concerning query language.
I'd be interested to know how close people's BEA exam scores compared to my mock exam.

Hi,
Well I got 76% maximum in joes mock exam, and I took 82 on wl cert. I took joes mock exam only 2 times and the last where around 2 weeks before taking the test, aslo Ive noticed that joes mock exam have more questions specifically to weblogic than the real exam, the real exam has more questions on jsp, servlets and ejb.
Also joes mock exam has some questions that dont provide the number of choices you have to pick in the exam all the question I had were provide with the number of answers to choose.
you should also notice that some questions on joes mock exam are very simillar with the questions on the real exam.
regards.

Hello,
It is never too late, so I offer you my congratulations on passing your exam.
I am here to give some trouble to you.
I want to discuss 3 queries with you.
Query #1
=========
I want to implement cluster technique in weblogic server. I have completed all of the configuration described in bea documentation about clustering. But when I want to start the cluster remotely (from console), I received following exception:
The WebLogic Server did not start up properly.
Exception raised: weblogic.rmi.extensions.RemoteRuntimeException - with nested exception:
[java.rmi.ConnectException: Unable to get direct or routed connection to:
'1487950057859584383S:192.168.0.20:[7001,7001,7002,7002,7001,7002,-1]:mydomain:myserver' ]
java.rmi.ConnectException: Unable to get direct or routed connection to:
'1487950057859584383S:192.168.0.20:[7001,7001,7002,7002,7001,7002,-1]:mydomain:myserver'
( a very much long text)
--------------- nested within: ------------------
weblogic.rmi.extensions.RemoteRuntimeException - with nested exception:
[java.rmi.ConnectException: Unable to get direct or routed connection to:
'1487950057859584383S:192.168.0.20:[7001,7001,7002,7002,7001,7002,-1]:mydomain:myserver' ]
Reason: Fatal initialization exception
( a very much long text)
~~~~~
can you explain the reason of it so that I will be able to solve it.
Query #2
=========
And when I start my cluster from command prompt/line, I received following error:
D:\bea\wlserver6.1\config\mydomain>java -ms64m -mx64m -verbosegc -Dweblogic.domain=mydomain -Dweblogic.Name=ServerMohsin
-Djava.security.policy==/bea/
weblogic6.1/lib/weblogic.policy -Dweblogic.admin.host=192.168.0.20:7001 -Dweblogic.management.username=system
-Dweblogic.management.password=password
weblogic.Server >> logfile.txt
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ License Exception $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Unable to start WebLogic Server !!
Missing license file for: WebLogic Server 6.1
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ License Exception $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
~~~~~~~~~~
I think it is due to cluster license. What is the difference between weblogic license and cluster license? From where I can
get cluster license? I am using weblogic evaluation version. Am I need weblogic cluster's evaluation license?
Moreover, plz tell me whether I should start cluster remotely(from console) or from command line? Which is the better way in
case my cluster is present on same machine?
In case if I will be successfull in making and running the cluster, how can I access my web application from browser window?
Mind it I am using "HttpClusterServlet" proxy techniqe.
Query #3
=========
My admin server machine IP=192.168.0.20
My managed server machine IP=192.168.0.14
If I use ISAPI proxy technique, it gives me following line of code with error in log file.

Thanks.
