Hi,
As i am new to weblogic(but not to web applications)I tried to create a simple HelloWorld Servlet by creating the correct Directory structure as per the document. It was working fine.
But When i tried to deploy the same application by making .war file out of that, I was getting some strange errors like Deployment not found though the web.xml is there.I get the following error
1. When i start weblogic server ---->// When server starts up.
<Jul 1, 2002 2:16:16 PM IST> <Error> <Deployer> <149027> <Unable to activate app
lication, _appsdir_Temp_war, from source, D:\bea1\weblogic700\server\bin\applica
tions\Temp.war. Reason: No deployment found at D:\bea1\weblogic700\server\bin\ap
plications\Temp.war.>
caught exception deploying app _appsdir_Temp_war
2) When i tried to deploy from the admin console, I am getting the below error
Exception
weblogic.management.ApplicationException: No deployment found at D:\bea1\weblogic700\server\bin\Temp.war.

Hi Pradeep,
Lets say my Web application name is Hello.I went to that Hello Directory and executed the jar cvf Hello.war . command. So my .war file now contains all the static pages like html and .jsp file and also the web-inf folder and its subdirectories...Hope this is fine...
So, was anything wrong with the .war content?

From the stackTrace it looks like Weblogic can't find the web.xml file.
I ran into this problem in 6.0.
Make sure that your WEB-INF dir is all caps, and then re-jar it.
