Admit it, you've picked Campbell and Winston to make sure their predictions in the Welcome thread were correct, right?

Campbell Ritchie wrote:But I am going to win the book. So sure do I want to be of winning that I am putting in an order for a copy anyway. But it will be the ordinary edition because it cost £5 less than at another website.

Hah! In your dreams. And BTW, my surname's spelt 'Gutkowski' (just so it gets to the right person).

I'll enjoy it too. I love getting my hands on "best practices" style books, so this is a wonderful addition to my bookshelf. I was very surprised to find that I won one! I just popped back on this forum to help people out after a long time away, and here I am lucky enough to get a nice new book for it. Thank you!

The amount of work you have put into the discussion in this forum makes you deserving of “luck”. We should be thanking you for your recent contributions.

Damn! Something went wrong with my book order; had to order again elsewhere and got nearly £3 lower price (including postage). Thank you MN for all the helpful comments

Well, you know what they say about "squeaky wheels".

And on a personal note, I'd like to thank the Academy, Maurice Naftalin for writing the book, JavaRanch, and of course my family and friends...

Thanks to JavaRanch for hosting the forum, and thanks to everyone who contributed questions – and answers! Some of those were a lot better than mine

Congratulations to the winners of the book! I hope you enjoy it and find it useful. Whether you do or not, please consider putting a review on to amazon.com and/or amazon.co.uk. I welcome all honest reviews, whether positive or critical.

Good luck in programming with lambdas and streams. You should have a lot of fun!
