Can you explain more about setting session in weblogic server? I don't understand what you mean.

say am creating a session object in my application like session.setTimeout(secs) or session.setInterval(secs)
And if i set my session in the weblogic servers web.xml
<session>secs<session>
Now which will be given the first preference..when the session is performed during the access of the this application.

You can override the session time out value mentioned in web.xml programatically.

well even we override what will the preference be given during runtime, when the file is loaded.
The weblogic or the application session will be given the preference..

When you override the session timeout from your application, your application gets the priority.
