This week, we're delighted to have Kostis Kapelonis helping to answer questions about the new book Java Testing with Spock. See the table of contents and a sample chapter on the book page

The promotion starts Tuesday, April 19th, 2016 and will end on Friday, April 22nd, 2016.

We'll be selecting four random posters in this forum to win a free copy of the book provided by the publisher, Manning.

Kostis: Some of the book promo materials say Konstantinos and some say Kostis because I saw your first post (which indicates you go by a nickname) after sending the mailing. The mailing does match what is on the cover of your book though so I don't expect any complaints .

Welcome to the Ranch!

I am quite interesting in how Spock is integrated with Gradle.

Hello all

I was pleasantly surprised to find Spock mentioned in this forum even before the promotion started!

I also see that questions have started popping up...

I will write a quick FAQ post to cover the basics (so that even after the promotion ends people will find it easily)

Regarding my name the official one is Konstantinos but this is very formal. Kostis is a shorter version of the same. Imagine Elizabeth - Liz or Michael - Mike. But it is still me!
Hope that isn't a problem.

Kostis

Of course not!

That would be awesome. I created a starter page for you to make this easier. That way you can focus on content instead of how to create a wiki page here at the Ranch.

Hi Kostis,

I want to thank you for writing such a great book!!

I found Spock through Groovy and the Groovy in Action book.

I had already started using Spock in some Groovy projects and then recently found your book and I'm in chapter 3.

I think it will create more Groovy & Spock converts.

Thanks again !!
