I have one question. I had passed Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 7 Programmer Exam(1Z0-803). Now I want to apply for OCPJP exam shall I apply for OCPJP 8 (1Z0-809) or I will have to go for OCPJP 7 (1Z0-804) exam.

You can't combine different version certifications, so you should take the OCPJP7 certification exam. If you want to take the OCPJP8 certification exam, you need to pass the OCAJP8 certification exam as well to be granted the title Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 8 Programmer.

Hi Yassin,

Congratulations champion! Great achievement Now it's time to relax a bit and have a (well-deserved) (or 2 or 3). And if you want to spoil yourself have a Belgian beer, our beers are the best of the world

Don't forget to add your name to the OcpjpWallOfFame!

Kind regards,
Roel

[edit] I just noticed you've already added your name to the OcpjpWallOfFame

Hi mahesh,

Sorry if I took a long time to reply.

If you want to know the prior requirements to pass a certification, go straight to Oracle's website and you'll find it.

Check this link.

I wish you the best of luck
