Hi

A friend in need is a friend indeed. Now everyone in the world expects performance be it an examination,or a drama or
any other house hold cooking task even
Your book must obviously be  a ready made friend who is the helper to all our Java Ranch Persons who will definitely make use of it
hence in-lieu of the same i cordially welcome to have session and on behalf of the would be  golden/silver eras's ranch forum (i guess)
I wish a  success
Cheers
As
CRMK

Welcome Charlie, Monica, Poonam, & Bengt!

Charlie, I'm thrilled to see a new book from you on this topic. I loved how much I learned from you at the JavaOne pre-conference training events all those years ago, and your book with Binu has been a bible on my shelf for a long time now. Now, I must go and try to ask an intelligent question to see if I can win this, if not, definitely heading directly on Amazon on hearing the bad news!

Hi Everyone!

Today's world is all about performance, be it real life where we strive for "Our" performance or be it programming world where we try hard to write better codes.
Hope this book is real ice breaker for all the Java Coders.

Charlie, Monica, Poonam, and Bengt,

Welcome to the Ranch!

Over the last few years, I've used Java in applications that some folks would have argued could only be done in C/C++:  Image processing for aerial photographs and mapping routines, data compression, terrain analysis, and geophysical modeling.  And I am just astonished by how well Java works.  Since some of you had a hand in bringing about that remarkable performance, I wanted to say thanks to you and your fellow team members for making it happen.

Gary

Now if I could just convince somebody that Java needs an unsigned byte type, life would be perfect :-)
