I am not sure if you are looking for why Weblogic is better than other app servers such as Websphere. Being a learner, WL is easy to code and develop and deploy J2EE applications.

Incase you want to know what exactly is Weblogic, do google !

You have a choice between few of the best known options;

**WebLogic
**WebSphere
**JBoss

I'm not sure abt the rest.

but I'd suggest with my exp. with WLS ... it is way too simple.
Jboss is also a good option ... but to my knowlegde it comes without support as it is a freeware.

WAS is way tooooo complicated for a beginner
