Appc out of memory

HI all,

I am actually facing a big issue with appc. When I compile my ejb module containing 50 cmps whit JBuilder at the last step it runs appc and it raises an error message: "The system is out of resources". Does anyone have an idea how to resolve this issue ?

I have tried to manually launch appc (before I compiled it with JBuilder) and extends the memory allocated with the options -Xms and -Xmx of the Java command and then I have got an IOException !

Thanks in advance,

Can you give us more details about the IOException you got?

First thank you to try to resolve my problem.

I actually have 1Gb of RAM. This is definitely enough. Here under is the stacktrace:

Did you search the BEA Forums?

I found some suggestions over there.

Check JVM in use:
If this is on windows check you are running the weblogic jvm, not the windows one;
check the PATH, and the JAVA_HOME.

Run ant task rather than java task:
Follow up-- I noticed that in our build file we were building our ejbs
through a java task which invoked weblogic.ejbc, rather than using the
ejbc ant task; I initially modified it to invoke appc in the same way.
When I changed the build file to use the wlappc ant task, the project
was built successfully. Can anyone explain this difference in behavior
to me?

I finally found a solution to my problem. I actually run appc with the JVM provided by Weblogic (JRockit). There is an option in JBUilder regarding the configuration of the application server Weblogic that allows you to use a special server compiler for appc.

Thanks a lot for your help and I hope this could be helpful for others who will read our posts.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools

It's not a secret anymore!
