Two weeks ago one of our forum moderators, Pawel Veselov, spotted a message about how to hack our software in such a way to get the passwords of all the users on the system. Since there are over 100,000 registered UBB's, I guess it took hackers a while to come around to us. Last night, UBB people installed an upgrade on The Big Moose Saloon that included a fix for this security hole. I'm guessing that nobody hacked the system, because if they did they probably would have taken my password, logged in as me and changed my password so they would have access and I wouldn't. Nonetheless, just to be on the safe side, I changed my password this morning. I suggest that all of you do the same. Just to be certain. At the top of your screen is a link called "profile". Click on that to get to the screen with your password. While you're there, you might find a few other things you'll be interested in tinkering with too. Sorry for any inconvenience!
