Ciao
I have a normal Weblogic-Server startscript for linux but when
starting the server it a foreground-process, which means
that it will be killed when I close the window.
I want to install it as a background service
that is also automatically started when the linux-server is rebooted.
Can you help me in some way?
Where can I get some information about background processing
and about best practices?

Thanks Starki

The "nohup" command arranges for the process to ignore SIGHUP, the signal fired when you close the command window.
The "&" runs the process in the background.

THANK YOU!
This was a very good tip for me
