while i was developing the jsp pages in Weblogic portal workshop8.1 sp5, though i included jstl.jar and standard.jar in WEB-INF\lib , my jsps are not recognising expression language statements like ${initParam.name}? what might be the reason for this problem?
pls do the needful.
which version of jsp is supported in Weblogic portal workshop8.1 sp5?

The WebLogic 8.1 products support J2EE 1.3; so servlet 2.3, JSP 1.2, JSTL 1.0.

Take a look at the JspFaq for information about getting things configured correctly.

Are you trying to use ${} within a jstl tag or elsewhere in the jsp? Only supported with the tags in JSP 1.2. (You probably already knew that.)

Thanks a lot Carol Enderlin.
your quick response is commendable.
