Timerapp; classdefnotfound exception

Hi all,

I want to install a simple timerapplication. I have created one class file in a war:

In the WEB-INF folder i have my web.xml file:

Now, via the weblogic console, i can not deploy the war file because it says that my (one and only) class can not be found. I only can deploy my war file if i put the LifecycleListener.class in the C:\bea81\user_projects\domains\mydomain folder.
If i do that, i see in the output that my timerapp runs also correct.

What is there missing that my simple war file does not deploys ?

I think I found the solution.
However, is it normal that all classes should be under the WEB-INF folder inside the war file ???
(i putted the class files before in the root folder of the war file, and probably that was wrong?)???
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
