Hi All,

I am trying to migrate my application my application from weblogic to websphere. My application is tested in weblogic and it is perfectly ok. When I try to import this EAR file in WSAD,it says the .project file is missing and cannot deploy.

Tried two ways to import:

1) In wsad File--->Import--->ear file--->browsed and selected my ear file

Error: EAR Open ErrorMETA-INF/application.xml

2) In wsad File--->Import--->Existing project into work space--->selected the project folder.

Error: .project file is missing.

can anyone help me out inthis.

Thanks for your time.

Hi,

.project is usually a IDE configuration file. The problem is, you're taking an .ear file and trying to import directly to WSAD and IDE, problably build on top of eclipse. Eclipse projects look for .project files to describe IDE project.
What you should do if you only need to migrate the EAR is try creating websphere Deployment descriptor files and then deploy it to Websphere.

If you need maintance on the package you problably need to first create a J2EE project in WSAD and then import SOURCE files inside it, not only EAR. A decompiler might also be helpfull in this situation, if you don't have source files.

regards.
