I have been thinking for a long time if the present forum name is appropriate and will server the purpose I have in mind. I want to target the following products of IBM in this forum MQSeries WebSphere Application Server 3.5 WebSphere Application Server 4.0 Visual Age for Java 3.5 Visual Age for Java 4.0 IBM Certifications (Except XML which is being discussed in the Javaranch XML forum) Other IBM products In this regard I am suggesting that we rename this forum to IBM Products rather than IBM Application Servers. What about IBM WebSphere Software Platform? By simply typing www.ibm.com/websphere , you'll see why. I also heard an unofficial message saying MQ Series will be renamed to WebSphere MQ. And VisualAge for Java fits better into the forum "IDE's and other tools"

That looks nice Tony but I am sceptical about giving up discussions on VAJ to IDE forum. But lets see...

It is often the case that a particular topic could be discussed in sevreal different forums. Having VAJ discussions going on under both IDE and Websphere seems reasonable. I currently watch both for VAJ.

Is this forum also meant for IBM certifications..i dont see any discussions around that... I guess this would the ideal place to discuss certification topics

bobby, Yes this is the place to discuss IBM Certifications, except the IBM XML certification which is being discussed in the XML forum. Just search for certifications or any such keyword and find the discussions that have been held. You can also post any new queries by posting a new topic and see the results.
