I'd study for 489, the Administration for WebSphere V4.0 exam, were I you. They're retiring the 3.5 exams on December 31st. However, if you have your heart set on the 409 (Admin for WS 3.5) exam, look at IBM's ICE site for practice questions. As for how 489 compares, it's very close, but I found the real exam somewhat harder...

hi , This exam was suggested by my Tech lead. I still deciding on this, since I am working on as assignment this month. I will be doing this only in Jan 2002. Any way thanks for the information bye umesh
Well, if you're waiting until January, then yes - you need to study for 489. 409 is being retired before then, and you'll be unable to take it. Unfortunately, that also means you won't be able to earn a free voucher - they need to be used by December 31st.
