Hi,
I am trying to access MS SQL server2000 by making connection pool it is giving me
com.ibm.websphere.naming.CannotInstantiateObjectException:
Exception occurred while the JNDI NamingManager was
processing a javax.naming.Reference object. [Root
exception is java.lang.NullPointerException]
And How to make connection Pools in WebSphere 4.0 AEs.

i have the same problem like you, but i want to connect to a message queue connection factory.
did you solve the issue yet ?

I am trying to deploy a entitiy bean in WebSphere Application Version 5. I have followed all the steps provided by the User Interface. I am connecting to Oracle 9i driver. I am trying to validate and install the ear. the validation and installation are happenning properly. but when I try to start the services, it is failing to start with the following exception:

I too get the same websphere exception when i try to start my application deployed in WAS 5. My DB too is MS SQLServer 2000.
Please help me if u were able to solve this issue.

oh guys..i got it sorted out..I had forgotten to add J2C authentication data in WAS 5. Thats why all those funny errors came.
