Hi All,
I am an SCJP-2. Now I want to take up Websphere certification. But when I went to the IBM site there is simply too many certifications. Which ones do you take and how and in what order. Plz could someone advice !!! and yeah do the certifications on WAS 3.5 have any value as WAS 4.0 is now out and I heard that IBM is phasing out other certifications.
Plz shoot in ur replies....
thanx and regards,
Vijay.

The application development for WAS include,
- Solution Developer (jCert Level 2)
- Enterprise Developer (jCert Level 3)
- Specialist (WAS Standard)
- Specialist (WAS Advanced)
The SD require SCJP2, OOAD/UML, WAS Standard exams and ED requires you to be any-vendor certified SD (http://jcert.org) plus J2EE Connectivity and WAS Advanced.
WAS 4 has been around for sometime but the certifications are new. There is an upgrade path. If you are just starting, it is better to look at WAS 4.

Hello there,
Follow this link:
http://www-1.ibm.com/certify/certs/adcseserv40.shtml
You can write sample test for free and if you pass this sample test with over 75% marks before Dec. 14/2001, then you can obtain a voucher and write the certification exam for free. Good luck..
