The application development for WAS include, - Solution Developer (jCert Level 2) - Enterprise Developer (jCert Level 3) - Specialist (WAS Standard) - Specialist (WAS Advanced) The SD require SCJP2, OOAD/UML, WAS Standard exams and ED requires you to be any-vendor certified SD (http://jcert.org) plus J2EE Connectivity and WAS Advanced. WAS 4 has been around for sometime but the certifications are new. There is an upgrade path. If you are just starting, it is better to look at WAS 4. Regards, Sanujit Senapati ICED, WAS ICSE, DB2
