try putting ur client in the application client jar in the AAT. and then deploy it, then try running ur client using launchClient batch file in the appserver\bin directory

hi...all...
really i got frustrated with this problem in websphere 4.0.
the total process i did is like this.
here i had one jar file named some x.jar ,i have few jsps ,few htmls ang gifs.
my welcome page is login.htm.
if i successfully logged in i have to get my application areas.jsp page.
in my application i have few more common classes which r used for login.those all classes i made the jar in i kept those in lib and i set the path for those.
forst i created webmodule with htmls, jsps.
i saved that in websphere\appserver\lib\myweb.war.
in creating war just i have added resource files for my war .nothing i did.
i save d my war.
next i started creating ejb module.
in this i have created .jar with my bean ,home, remote claases.i saved my jar in lib with x.jar name.all these r sesion beans.
i have deployed my jar and saved the deployed jar in lib directory.
now i have created my .ear with these x.jar and myweb.war.
than i insttaled my ear in console.
i have successfully installed and i have set jvm settings and all.ihave configured databse.
after shuttin down and restarting my server i have successfully started my application.
now i have opened browser and typed my url as http://localhost:9080/myapp/login.htm.
i got my welcome page.
when i typed the username and password and i submitted that i got 500 internal server error..
the error is like this:

I am sorry as I am not providing any solution but asking a question to you again. I am using WAS 4.0 AE. All I have to do is to deploy a jsp and a servlet. I know I have to put my jsp in the home and servlet class in web-inf/classes. I am getting struck in generating deployment descriptor. Are there any tools to generate DD just like "ant" in weblogic.
I have used WAS 3.5 but there was no concept of war and ear files in the older version.
I am nott getting how to generate DD and how to deploy the files. PL help.

open the ear which u r trying to deploy in the Application Assembly Tool(available in the websphere). add the common classes under the jar files of the war file.
