Since some of the APIs are deprecated in JDK 1.2.2 we would like to go to jdk 1.3 for our websphere 3.5 version standard edition. I think this can be done appling a patch or changing the WAS jdk path to jdk 1.3.
we would like to the second way....
I have installed jdk 1.3 in my webserver system , now how should I configure the WAS jdk path to this jdk 1.3 path.

You cannot do that. Don't try it. Not only will you void your warranty, but it will NOT work.
To get JDK 1.3 you MUST move to WebSphere 4.0.
