Hi there, I tried to create EJB using WSAD with Oracle DB. Here is what I have done: 1. Edit a database: name: OracleDriver Implementation class name: oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleConnectionPoolDataSource URL prefix: jdbc racle:thin:@127.0.0.1:1521:sample class path: E:\Oracle\Ora81\jdbc\lib\classes12.zip 2. Add a dataSource: name: ITSOWSAD JNDI name: jdbc/ITSOWAD database name: sample Default user id: scott Default password: tiger But when I launch the test environment, I got the following message: Failed to start EJB, Invalid Oracle URL specified: OracleDataSource.makeURL Does anyone know the reason? Thanks. Henry
Hi, Please follow the steps: Step1 In the JDBC Driver List Name: OracleDriver(It is upto you). Description: Oracle Driver For ORCL Database (it is optional) Implementation class name: oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleConnectionPoolDataSource URL Prefix: (Leave it blank) Class path: C:/orant/jdbc/lib/classes12.zip (it is your class path) Step2 Data source defined in the JDBC driver selected above Name: OracleDS(it is upto you) JNDI name:jdbc/cons Description: Oracle Data Source For ORCL(it is optional) Database name: orcl Default user ID:scott Default user password: tiger other things, you leave as it is. Step3 Resource properties defined in the data source selected above Name: URL Type: java.lang.String Value: jdbc racle:thin:@localhost:1521 rcl Description: Oracle JDBC Url Resource (it is optional) Step 3 is required for oracle database(properitary things).
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
