Remove Enterprise Application

Everytime when we remove an enterprise application (or ear) from the Management Console it doesn't automatically delete the corresponding directory from d:\websphere\appserver\installedApps folder. We have to go and delete them manually.
Is this an expected action or a bug in Websphere 4.0 or am I missing something?
Please clarify.
Thanks & Regards,

Thanks & Regards,<br />Nijeesh.

It's a bug in 4.0.2 and 4.0.3. You can download an e-fix from IBM Support and Downloads.
