Hi,
I'm unable to find the properties files from the Websphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD) 4.0.3
When I run them from the command propmt, it's working.
For example, in HelloWorld java, if I'm using helloworld.properties, I placed the properties file and java file in the same directory and it's working from command propmt. But in WSAD, where should I place my properties files.
The same problem exists in WAS4.0
Where should I place my .properties files, so that my applications can read them. I dont want to give a absolute path.
Please reply ASAP
Thanks in advance,
Sreenivas

This is a basic java issue; use the ClassLoader. Check the API -- you can get a URL for the file and get the real path from that as long as the .properties file is somewhere in the classpath.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
