Migrate WSAD4 Data Sources to WSAD5

Can someone please enlighten me...
I am trying to move/recreate a DataSource configuration in WSAD5 that I had working in WSAD4.
We are working with a Teradata database, so we are creating a 'User-defined' JDBC Provider on the Data sources tab of the WebSphere Test Environment.
I've searched everywhere I can think of for information on the topic and have come up with next to nothing.
What exactly are the, 'Data source helper class name', classes? Is it actually necessary to use the, 'Component-managed authentication alias', and, 'Container-managed authentication alias'??
We have tried using both the:
com.ibm.websphere.rsadapter.ConnectJDBCDataStoreHelper
and
com.ibm.websphere.rsadapter.WSConnectJDBCDataStoreHelper
since they appeared to be the least vendor dependent of the group, but errors abound when trying to retrieve a DataSource object.
I certainly haven't eliminated the fact that it could be a DB driver problem, but any info on how to migrate a WSAD4 Data Source to WSAD5 would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
