wsad 4.03 selectMethod=????

I'm trying to connect to sql 2000 using the MS driver.
When I run this code:
javax.naming.InitialContext ctx = new javax.naming.InitialContext();
javax.sql.DataSource ds = (javax.sql.DataSource) ctx.lookup("jdbc/myname");
java.sql.Connection connection = ds.getConnection();

I get this error:
ConnectionPoo X CONM6009E: Failed to get connection to the database from datasource (DEVIPA2).
SystemOut U java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC]JTA is not support when selectMethod=direct. Switch to selectMethod=cursor.

Do I just need to configure the selectMethod property? I can't figure out how to do this with the Websphere Administrative Domain in WSAD....
Has anyone experienced this???
