Hello all,
As part of the web shere portal enabled, I am trying to install the IBM Directory server. The installation seemingly goes on fine. But when I try to start the service for windows. It gives me the error
Could not start the IBM Directory Server V4.1 service on Local Computer. The service did not return and error. This could be an internal Windows error or an internal service error. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.
Would be great if any one could let me circumvent this situations
Cheers
Jack

Just in case you missed it, between install and starting the server there are probably some configuration steps. I imagine skipping those might cause startup to fail.
You might see more messages if you start from the command line. There may be a command like slapd or ibmslapd to do this. If there is a command to start, it may not start the DB for you, so check to see if the service is running for the DB instance you configured for the directory server.
Beware: I've not worked with this version of the directory.
