NameNotFoundException means the look up failed so it is finding your jndi classes just fine. Make sure the name is correct and providerURL etc....

I am sure he might have configured his datasource with the correct JNDI name but I doubt that "he configured the DataSource Reference". He has to do it as he is using "java:comp/env along with his JNDI name."
If you are referring this Datasource from Web Project, make your resource reference from web.xml under references tab.

i have the same problem,

W NMSV0605W: A Reference object looked up from the context "java:" with the name "comp/env/Book_catalog" was sent to the JNDI Naming Manager and an exception resulted. Reference data follows:
Reference Factory Class Name: com.ibm.ws.naming.util.IndirectJndiLookupObjectFactory
Reference Factory Class Location URLs: <null>
Reference Class Name: java.lang.Object
Type: JndiLookupInfo
Content: JndiLookupInfo: jndiName="local:ejb/Book_catalog"; providerURL=""; initialContextFactory=""

Exception data follows:
javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name "ejb/Book_catalog" not found in context "local:"....

what can i do to rectify this
