How this book can help me with the exam 484 of the IBM Certified Enterprise Developer - WebSphere Studio, V5.0 ? I'm working with eclipse and some plug-ins, I don't have so much experience working with WAS. Thank's for all..
Hi Carlos, I have also started to learn how to use WSAD 5.1 for my current J2EE project.
How this book can help me with the exam 484 of the IBM Certified Enterprise Developer - WebSphere Studio, V5.0 ?
I think the book is mainly regarded on how we develop J2EE applications (Web and EJB modules) under WebSphere 5.0, however, for 484 exam, it is related to the core concepts of Servlets, JSPs, EJBs and design patterns. So, I do not think it helps, instead, you may study SCWCD, SCBCD (like me) in order to study with 484 concurrently as well.

So do I! I have just finished my SCJD assignment with Eclipse. However, I really feel that it is very very different between the two. WSAD is built on top of Eclipse, but it is more powerful that the standalone Eclipse, such as it does not contains J2EE and XML Debug Perspectives. I do know whether there are any plug ins about them, but at least, we need to download other components, which makes it not as easy-to-use as WSAD. Nick.
Those parts of the book concerning application design and development will be by all means helpful to you in preparation for the 484 exam. However, this book will be even more helpful while preparing for the 287 exam.
Best Regards,<br />Serge
