I am curious to know from the list members what sort of applications or office processes are being done today with Websphere ?
I have seen articles that say how major airlines bookings and related process have been automated with Websphere and Weblogic. I would like to hear from the list members on what kind of applications they have been using Websphere.
thanks

Go to the following web page at IBM.com pick any industry you like, and you'll see literally dozens of case studies on companies using WebSphere.
As for some of the ones I've worked on that I can tell you about:
eBay (look it up -- the little icon in the upper right that says "powered by IBM" -- yup, that's WebSphere)
Charles Schwab (Very nearly every interactive part of the site is WebSphere -- in particular the tools for help and advice in investing)
Daimler Chrysler (for instance, the part that allows you to build and price a Chrysler online)
I could go on for days.

As far as my knowledge goes,
Vignette - Web Content Management Tool. We used this tool to manage content on http://www.citidirect.com it does an excellent job of on-the-fly content update by business users. has a workflow for content authorization.
Tibco & Seebeyound - they have many tools. there main products are for Business integration / messaging tools.
