Hi,
I've been trying to get authentication to work so that users can login from the home page or any page and so they never get the option to click on a link to somethink they shouldn't. when I use j_security_check, it sends me back to the welcome page (index.html) whick I don't want.
It seems that j_security_check uses the FormLoginServlet, so I though maybe theres away of invoking methods within it like maybe

FormLoginServlet myFormLoginObj = new FormLoginServlet();
myFormLoginObj.login(username, password);
And then (pushing my luck) get access to there details (which would be up on the LDAP server).
In essence, I don't want to be calling j_security_check because it's causing complications that are too long winded to get into on the forum.
Thanks
Stee
