DB2 Personal Ed and RAM Usage

I am hoping to install my copy of DB2 personal edition that came with Kyle's ( et al ) book. This will be to data store for WAS 5.0. I see two figures for memory consumption.
1) 64MB DB2 Personal Edition without graphical tools
2) 128MB DB2 Personal Edition with graphical tools
I only have 256MB. I do not need WAS running 24x7. Can I stop my server and use the graphical tools. When finished close the gui and restart WAS. So my question is do the gui tools always require the extra 64MB or only when being used to manipulate the db?
Thanks,

Sondra,
The extra RAM is only used when using the gui tools. Note that the gui uses java, so it is a bit slow.
If you want to look up something quickly (when websphere is open), you can use the command line tools. You can do this regardless of whether you installed the GUI or not.
