Can I export the admin console from WAS to WSAD and then use it to administer/read the WSAD configuration?

No, the admin depends on the WAS config files in order to administer it. Not even sure why you'd want to do this as WSAD is pretty sweet.

Sandra,
The WAS admin console is available in WSAD. Open a server configuration editor. Go to the second tab. Check the checkmark for the WAS console. After starting the server you can then use the WAS admin console (attach via http://localhost:9090/admin).
