Debugger of WSAD

I'm working on a Struts1.1 project using WSAD5.0.1. The debugger is not working right recently.

Normally, when I put a the mouse over a variable in debug mode,
the value of the variable will show up in a small yellow window, but now
nothing show up. I can not set watch on variables any more,
but I can still set break points and do "step into" and "step over"
in both server and application debug.

I think something is wrong with the WSAD configuration.
Could anyone help me on this?

I'm using WIN 2000 with a laptop which has 1GB RAM and a CPU of 1 GHz.
Is this because of the hardware?

Thanks.

You only get the mouse-over view of a variable value if the variable was declared locally, i.e. as a parameter to the method or is local to the method.

Otherwise, you can highlight it and select "Inspect" from the context menu to get the information.

This is also true of watches, I suspect. From the variables view tree, try locating your variable and creating a monitor/watch from there.
