Installing WS Portal Server?

Hi,
Who is responisble to install WS Portal Server? Since my company is IBM partner. So I was thinking that may be IBM guys will install it on our machines [for Free?].
If I am supposed to install WS Portal Server, then this will be my first experience. Few questions are here:

1: Where I can get help regarding Installation?
2: Does my machine configuration matters? [it is given below]
3: Suppose my finalized portal will be deployed on Linux machine, then shall I develop whole Application [Portal] on Linux Machine?
4: Shall I need to change my HDD partition?
5: Currently, there is no Database installed in my machine. In future might be my portal access DB for geting information. So, does I have to install DB first? if yes, then which DB's are compatible with IBM WS Portal Express?
