I see that IBM is replacing WebSphere Studio Application Developer with Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software.

Does anybody know when "Rational Application Developer" is coming out?

When talking to other developers about WebSphere Studio Application Developer, I usually refer to it as "Studio". What will people call "Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software"? RAD? RAD Wizz?

What planning are people doing for this? I don't see any books or courses yet. Does anybody know of any?

Rick,
I haven't heard anything yet about a release date. I think the books/courses will come out closer to release. We've been calling it RAD 6 at work. I guess over time a convention will emerge.

I'm going to move this to our IBM/WebSphere forum because it is a very IBM specific question. Either here (IDEs) or there would have been appropriate to post the question. I just think you are more likely to get an answer about the release date in the IBM forum.

I spoke with IBM Websphere Studio Support today. They told me that
"Rational Application Developer for Websphere" was released 2 weeks ago.

Thanks Sean! Do you know what number they are calling it? 1 or 6? I remember when VAJ switched to WSAD, they continued the number scheme.
