telling static from dynamic content

Hi,

I'm a newbie in WebSphere, and I'm having some problems with a client specification, here it goes:
In the specification is described that my client wants to separate the static part of the application (Htmls, css, imgs, ...) from the dynamic (EJBs). He wants the static part runing under the Apache sever in a jar file, and the dynamic would be runing under the WebSphere in a ear file. Is there any way to integrate both servers, and if there, how would this communication work?

IBM provide their own web server based on Apache.
I don't understand why static content should be in JAR?

I dont know too, it was in my clients specification. I thought it was strange too, but i wanna confirm if there is, or there is not a way to do it.

There is no problem with web server and WebSphere to work together, but I'm really not sure about JAR.
