The NameNotFoundException is saying that jdbc/test does not exist in your servers JNDI context. Do a dumpnamespace and have a look at your jndi context to see if your datasource is actually there. Has the datasource been deployed? You can double check in the WAS admin console - look up your jdbc datasource and see what the jndi name for it is.

You've probably already thought of this, but open your test servers wsi file (you'll find it in the Server View of WSAD), and click on the 'Data Source' tab. Under 'Server Settings' have a look at the database configurations you've set up. If you haven't done this before, set up your datasources here.

Hope this helps

Thanks Steve and Alana!

Yes, I've created the datasource myself and jdbc/test exists. I did the check on the server files too.

Steve, here's the output when I ran dumpnamespace.

thanks, Sri

Are you running this script on the same host as your server? If not you need to specify the -host argument. Also you will want to specifiy the -port argument too since it defaults to 2809. Basically, that error is telling you it could not get the initial context, and it is because your provider url is incorrect, or your server is down.

I think you should run the bat like this

D:\WAS\AppServer\bin>dumpNameSpace.bat -host tester -port 2810 > d:\NSLIST.txt

then you can find out all relation.

Hello All Did any one find the solution for this?
I am also getting the same error here is my trace :
Getting the initial context
ERROR: Could not get the initial context or unable to look up the starting context. Exiting.
