I am sorry to ask a question against a question but could you please tell me how do you want to connect... I mean you want to connect using datasource, or Drivermanager or else..

Do these thigs.
1. Double click on the server to which you want to connet the database.
2. In IDE you will see "Data Source" tab. Click the tab.
3. Under Data Source page, add the driver under the option "JDBC Driver List". Here you have to specify database name, Implementation class Name (for example for oracle it would be "oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleConnectionPoolDataSource"), then add the .jar file for driver (for example classes12.jaar).
4.Add data source and JNDI name under "Data Source".
5.Add username, password and connection string under the resource properties.

Thanks.

Madhukar,
Welcome to JavaRanch!

I'm going to move this thread to the IBM forum for you since it is more about WSAD than JDBC.
